Even before learning just how unjust the tax system is, I learned of local council tax and how it’s mandatory, and particularly disliked that the services offered in return aren’t optional. Throughout my life I developed a strong desire to only financially support causes I believe in or services I use, and some of their services do not interest me.

Fr some people censor their content because words can be used by some algorithms as keywords for subjects, and as much as I hate censorship of arbitrary words like expletives, I understand the need to talk about sensitive subjects without said algorithm permanently attracting or associating your content with subjects. Propaganda, for example, may tie your account to geopolitical discourse, when you just want to make impartial dumb memes. The Internet is under too much control sometimes.
